If that's not a wow addiction, I don't know what is...Besides, he's advertising that he's breaking the terms of service agreement...I wonder if he's proud of how "cool" he is.

Not to defend the guy's geekiness, but Blizzard forum mods have said that multiboxing is perfectly within WoW's terms of service. I'm not sure why though...it's obviously against the spirit of the game. Mo' $$$ I guess...
And he could never bring a date home with that set up. I guarantee she'd take one look at all of that and immediately start to run in the opposite direction.

Am I the only one that is both disgusted and ticked off when I see those guys?
Nope, not at all. It's disgusting because that guy has way to much time on his hands to be able to do all of that.
It pisses me off because it's not fair to those of us who can only afford (or are only willing to pay for) one account and one computer. I'm sure most of us are superior players to him, but no one could survive 20+ focused chain lightnings.
I support duel boxing in defense of those who use it to level characters (especially now that the level cap will soon be 80), but I think what this guy is doing is a bit malicious, even if Blizz says it's okay.

Stealing something I heard Spin say...
Depending on how he's controlling them all, it could be against the terms of use. Blizz has banned people for using programmable keyboards like the Logitech G15 because they are a manipulation of game mechanics. If he is using something where he can control the characters with something probaby far more complicated then a few custom-macro buttons, then I'd say it would be grounds for banning.

The simple fact that he's using a couple keyboards to control the whole group of toons, means that he's using a program or some hardware to do it; which is a breach of terms of service.

No, it really isn't against the terms of service. I know it seems unimaginable, and I agree that it's totally against the spirit of the game, but Blizzard is all for multiboxing...including the ability to control multiple characters with one keyboard.
Myth- Multiboxers all use third-party software and that's against the Terms of Service and the EULA.
Fact- Third party software is in line with the ToS as long as it does not automate gameplay. Automation, by Blizzard's standard, is when someone starts the software and it plays for them without any human input to continue gameplay. Mutliboxing only uses software to replicate keystrokes to other WoW clients and ONLY after a human has input them. Note that a keyboard multiplexer could be used here and that's not even software. The software used only emulates another piece of hardware.
(I didn't write that btw, I got it from the WoW forums)

Yep, the secret is out. It took 36 of us to achieve my stellar 1550 arena rating. We also take turns spamming shadowbolt in raids because it's so boring...errr, I mean challenging.

As stated in the World of Warcraft Terms of Use, 4.B.(ii), you may not "create or use cheats, bots, "mods", and/or hacks, or any other third-party software designed to modify the World of Warcraft experience"
"Modify the World of Warcraft experience"? This is deliberately vague. Most TOS documents contain wording like this. It really adds up to meaning that if Bliz says something violates TOS, then it violates TOS. Bliz owns the game and everything in it. You have no rights whatsoever.

My point is that Blizzard's stance is that multiboxing is fine as long as there is no automation, whether it's 5 accounts or 36 accounts. I was responding to people who were claiming otherwise. There are dozens of official Blizzard posts to back that up.
