Best part about that ad is that with the new D&D 4th edition, they're trying to make it usable with computer technology and get away from using miniatures. And sometimes, you don't really want to sit around for two hours watching everyone roll their characters, which they had a week to do prior to getting together. And sometimes, you want to be able to use your player's handbook rather than trying to figure out which of the slack-asses your partied with still has it because they're STILL writing down their new spells.
